Anita Ryder
Achivements:Anita first started coaching at City of Derby Swimming Club, she later joined Coventry on the Learn to Swim Program, taking over an Achiever Group. She is also one of the Club’s Child Protection Officials and has attended various seminars and lectures on this subject. Anita is an ASA Level 2 Coach and has had great successes, seeing swimmers progress from learning to swim to achieving Elite standard. Anita also has an active role in the Diddy League team which has enjoyed great success over the last few years. Anita was herself a swimmer, she began at the age of 11 with Nottingham Leander, and after competing up to national level decided that she wanted to move on to long distance swimming, competing in lake swims such as Lake Conniston and Bala Lake to name just a couple. For Anita, her ultimate achievement as a swimmer, was to swim the English Channel when she was 14.

A younger Anita attended Clifton Hall Girls Grammar School. She also studied part time for an HND in Food Science whilst also working full time. As you can see Anita likes to keep herself busy, in between Coaching and her career, she enjoys football.
